Practice sheets you can print at home
Six sheets, in the same rulings used inside our handwriting workbooks. Print them as often as you like, for one child or a whole class. No sign-up, no email address, nothing to buy.
Download all six sheets (PDF)Print at 100%, not "fit to page", or the guides come out the wrong size.
What is in the pack
- Wide handwriting guides — three-zone guides, wider than the book. For tired hands, or for anyone whose writing is still large.
- Standard handwriting guides — the same ruling used through the workbook, so a printed sheet lines up with the pages already practised.
- Narrow handwriting guides — closer to exercise-book ruling. The step to take before moving to plain lines.
- Plain ruled practice — single lines, like school paper, for when the guides are no longer needed.
- Cornell note sheet — cues on the left, notes on the right, summary underneath.
- Practice tracker — one line a session: what you worked on, and one thing you noticed.
Getting the most out of them
- Ten focused minutes beats an hour. Stop while the hand still feels comfortable.
- Work down through the rulings over weeks, not days. Wide, standard, narrow, then plain.
- Compare a sheet with the same person's sheet from last month. Never with anyone else's.
- Repeat a sheet as often as it is useful. That is the whole point of them being printable.
Where these come from
These are the rulings from the Bright Side Dysgraphia workbooks, which teach handwriting to children and teenagers who find writing physically hard. The sheets are free and always will be. If you want the taught lessons that go with them, the books are on the shelf here.
