Two minutes, step by step: read the floor plan, use each card, find the killer.

Each case gives you a painted floor plan of an English village house seen from above, split into rooms and furnished with armchairs, teapots, pianos and potting sheds. Below it sits the cast, a painted portrait for every guest, and one true statement from each of them. Place every guest in the right square and the one left in the room with the body is the killer.
These are logic puzzles, not stories to read. Every statement narrows down where somebody could have stood. In the Library. Beside the piano. North of Clara. Against an outer wall. Work through them one at a time and the answer falls into place. No guessing is ever needed. Every case has exactly one solution and you can reach it step by step.
The cases get harder as you go. Twenty easy cases on five by five floor plans teach the method. Twenty five medium cases add a sixth guest and a sixth room. Fifteen hard cases bring the twists, with guests placed by their height and the invitation that was never answered, where one card belongs to a guest who never arrived. Then the whole village gathers for the harvest ball in the grand finale, a big board and nine cards across a double page.
Inside you will also find a how to solve page with a worked example, a furniture legend, a difficulty label and a time target on every case, a spare board for a second attempt, a hints section that gives you the first move for every case without naming the killer, a quick check page, full step by step solutions with a line on what really happened, a detective log to keep your score and a certificate of detection to claim your rank.
Painted village rooms, tea parties and rose gardens rather than crime scenes. Nothing graphic and nothing gory. Just a quiet afternoon, a kind hostess and one guest who was not what they seemed.
Large 8.5 by 11 inch pages in full colour. A thoughtful present for anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries, logic grid puzzles or a screen break that makes them think.
Every case has been checked twice. Our engine proves that each puzzle has one solution, then a second checker solves every case again from the printed clues.
